Threats and Trends September 2007

In comparison with the same period last year there has been less traffic, and there is also some decrease in comparison with last period this year. New of this period is a large increase in searches towards port 5168 (Trend Micro ServerProtect) where several vulnerabilities became known. This service has been mostly targeted August 23rd. China has been the source for many of the searches towards port 5168, and is therefore at almost the same level as the US. Norway is still among the top 10 of the sources, with almost no changes in activity since the last period.
